With a strong design heritage and growing international presence, Rachel Gilbert is entering an exciting phase of expansion and is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join the senior leadership team.
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Finance will lead the Finance function and provide the financial governance, commercial insight and strategic support required to drive profitable growth. This is a senior leadership role, partnering closely with the CEO and key departments across the business, including Merchandise, Marketing, Retail, Ecommerce, Wholesale and Operations.
Responsibilities
Lead the Finance function, team and overall financial governance of the business.Own financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.Provide clear visibility of cash flow, working capital, inventory and funding requirements.Lead the company’s 1-, 3- and 5-year financial planning and scenario modelling.Partner with the CEO and SLT on strategic and commercial decision-making.Provide commercial analysis across pricing, margin, inventory, investment and profitability.Establish clear financial accountability across departments and ensure effective expense controls.Oversee monthly management reporting, including performance against budget, forecast and prior year.Oversee financial management across AU, US and Rest of World entities, including intercompany accounting and tax compliance.Lead the ongoing development of finance systems, reporting, automation and data integrity.Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, efficiency and cost management.Ensure strong financial controls and processes are embedded across the business.Build and develop a high-performing, commercially focused Finance team.
Qualifications
Senior finance leadership experience in a Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Finance Director or similar role.
Required Skills
Strong financial accounting, commercial finance and governance capability.Experience across budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and working capital management.Strong understanding of inventory, gross margin and retail/ecommerce financial drivers.Experience managing multiple entities and international operations.Strong systems, process improvement and data management capability.Excellent commercial judgement and communication skills.A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.A genuine interest in technology, automation and using data to improve business performance.
