About Us

Red Nose is a national charity working to save little lives through research and education and to support families impacted by the death of a baby or child during pregnancy, infancy and early childhood.

The Fundraising, Marketing and Communications (FMC) team work together to grow and unite support for Red Nose and our work in Australia. We work to raise awareness of our mission and our impact; deepen engagement with new parents, bereaved families and health care professionals; and raise revenue through direct donations and grants activity. 

The opportunity

Great fundraising depends on great data, systems and processes, and this role is central to making that happen at Red Nose.

As our Fundraising Data and Operations Specialist, you’ll help ensure our fundraising team has the reliable data, useful insights and effective systems it needs to grow support for Red Nose and the work we do.

You’ll be our go-to specialist for Raiser’s Edge and fundraising data, taking ownership of the day-to-day management and optimisation of our database while also identifying smarter and more effective ways of working. You’ll develop reporting and insights to inform fundraising performance, strengthen our data quality and processes, and lead improvements across our fundraising systems.

It’s a hands-on role with plenty of variety and genuine scope to make a difference to how we work, ultimately helping Red Nose raise the funds that make our work possible.

What you’ll be doing

Working closely with our Fundraising, Marketing & Communications team and Corporate Services, you will:

• manage and optimise Raiser’s Edge, ensuring supporter and fundraising data is accurate, current and well governed
• develop reports, dashboards and analysis to provide meaningful insights that support fundraising performance and decision-making
• undertake complex queries, segmentation, imports and exports to support fundraising campaigns and activities
• oversee gift processing and work closely with Finance to support financial reconciliation
• provide support and guidance to colleagues using Raiser’s Edge
• review fundraising systems and processes, identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline and improve ways of working
• lead operational and systems improvement projects across Raiser’s Edge and other fundraising platforms.

About You

You’ll bring strong fundraising database expertise, an analytical mindset and a genuine interest in making systems and processes work better.

We’re looking for someone with:

• extensive experience managing Raiser’s Edge in a fundraising environment
• strong experience with data imports and exports, complex queries and segmentation
• strong knowledge of fundraising principles, data compliance and the FIA Code
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into useful insights
• excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data quality
• strong communication skills and the ability to make technical information understandable to others
• a proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Experience in the not-for-profit, health or community sector, with other fundraising platforms such as Funraisin, or in delivering systems and operational improvement projects would be an advantage.
