Pump Service Technician – Gold Mining | 8/6 Roster

BIBO / DIDO | 8 Days On / 6 Days Off | Open-Pit Gold Mine | WA

We are seeking an experienced Pump Service Technician to join our maintenance team at a major open-pit gold mining operation in Western Australia.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a skilled technician to work across the site’s pumping and dewatering systems, carrying out preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and fault finding to keep critical equipment operating safely and reliably.

About the Role

As a Pump Service Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial pumping equipment

• Troubleshooting mechanical and pump-related faults

• Carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs

• Replacing seals, bearings, impellers and other pump components

• Installing, dismantling and commissioning pumping equipment

• Working on dewatering, slurry and transfer pump systems

• Conducting inspections and identifying potential equipment failures

• Completing maintenance records and job reports

• Working closely with the maintenance and mining teams

• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and housekeeping

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Pump Technician, Mechanical Fitter, Pump Fitter or similar

• Strong experience servicing and repairing industrial pumps

• Sound mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

• Mining, heavy industry or dewatering experience highly regarded

• Relevant Australian trade qualifications

• A current Australian driver's licence

• A strong commitment to safety and safe work practices

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
