ROM Operator

Seeking an experience ROM Loader Operator to join our high performing processing team at Deflector.

Vault Minerals Limited is a leading intermediate gold producer listed on the ASX, with a diversified portfolio of operating assets across Western Australia and Canada. Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160km east of Geraldton. The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector South West deposits.

• This position will be offered on an 8:6, 7:7 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton

Reporting to the Mill Supervisor the ROM Loader Operator is responsible for maintaining the Run Of Mine (ROM) pad including rock breaking, crusher feed and ROM surface management.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

• Safe and efficient operation of mobile equipment (Loaders, excavator, water cart as required)
• Managing Run of Mine (ROM) stockpiles 
• Maintaining consistent feed rates to meet production targets
• Using rock breaker to clean grizzly when required and size ore correctly
• Timely management of oversize ore, rock breaking and relocation of waste
• Undertake ROM floor repairs and maintaining correct RL
• Maintaining accurate record of all material movement through the CAT payload and Loadrite reporting system
• Managing logistics of incoming trucks and road trains
• Mine steel collection and storage on ROM, removal to the waste management area

About You 

• Minimum of 3 years experience operating a CAT 980NG or equivalent Loader on a Run of Mine (ROM)
• Loader & Excavator tickets essential
• High Risk Work License LF
• Ability to work well within a production team
• Strong safety focus and reliable work ethic
• Assist in the Processing plant when required
• Hold a current WA Driver’s License (manual C Class)
