You'll Rotate Through a Variety Of Responsibilities, Including

Anaesthesia nursing for surgical, imaging and emergency proceduresPreparing patients for surgery, including clipping and surgical scrubbingTheatre nursing while maintaining strict aseptic techniqueMonitoring and caring for hospitalised surgical patientsSurgical float nursingAssisting with specialist consultations and patient checksCoordinating patient handovers between departmentsMaintaining theatre equipment, sterile stores and high clinical standardsHelping ensure a safe, clean and efficient hospital environment

We Are Looking For

Passionate about delivering outstanding patient care and enjoys working in a fast-paced specialist environment.Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)At least 3 years' experience in general practice, or 1+ year in a specialist referral hospital Experience or a strong interest in surgery and/or anaesthesiaExcellent technical nursing skills, including:Anaesthesia monitoringIV catheter placementBlood collectionTPR monitoringStrong communication and teamwork skillsA calm, organised approach in busy clinical situationsA willingness to learn and embrace feedbackA positive attitude and genuine passion for veterinary nursing
Participation in our 1 in 10 weekend on-call roster is required.
