Based out of our Thomastown depot this role will be required to work interstate for 50% of the time on a roster but is not a full time FIFO position.

Star Drilling operates 18 drilling rigs from large sonic rigs to small geoprobes and we engage in a variety of drilling methods, auger, rotary air, rotary mud, diamond and sonic drilling.

We are looking for an experienced Driller, to join our team who:

• Has 3 years + above ground geotech and/or environmental drilling experience

• Can work effectively in a team with a positive and proactive attitude

• Lives in Melbourne or Regional Victoria

• Physically fit and prepared for all drilling operation tasks

• Committed to a high level of safety

• Can carry out basic preventative maintenance and servicing of equipment and down hole equipment

Please Note: This is not a full time FIFO position.

What we need from you:

• At a minimum MR, prefer HR (manual) drivers license

• Construction Industry Induction card

• Drillers or Water Well licence (preferred)

• Rail Industry Worker card (preferred)

• A mechanical aptitude will be looked on favourably

• Regular overtime and weekend work will be required.

• Flexibility to work interstate (NSW, QLD, NT, SA) 50% of the time

• Australian work authorisation with a valid work visa is required for this position
