MC Powder Tanker Driver

About the role

Pacific Rise Group is seeking a qualified MC Powder Tanker Driver to join our Road Transport operations team. This is a full-time position based in Townsville, Queensland. As an MC Powder Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of powder tanker loads across regional and long-distance routes. This role is integral to our supply chain operations and directly impacts our ability to deliver quality service to our clients. You will be operating specialised powder tanker equipment and maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism and compliance at all times.

What you'll be doing

• Operating and safely manoeuvring MC powder tanker vehicles in compliance with all relevant transport regulations and company policies

• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the tanker is in safe working condition and reporting any defects or maintenance issues

• Loading, transporting and unloading cement powder tanker while adhering to strict safety protocols and industry best practices

• Maintaining accurate logbooks, delivery records and documentation in accordance with transport legislation and company requirements

• Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any operational issues

• Adhering to all speed limits, traffic regulations and safe driving practices to ensure the safety of yourself, other road users and cargo

• Performing basic maintenance and cleaning of the powder tanker vehicle as required

• Responding professionally to customer queries and complaints whilst maintaining company reputation

• Most shifts are return to Base however some overnight stays may be required

What we're looking for

• Current valid MC (Multiple Combination) or higher class driver licence with a clean driving record

• Proven experience operating powder tanker vehicles or similar tanker transport equipment

• Strong knowledge of road transport regulations, vehicle safety standards and workplace health and safety requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliability, punctuality and a demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks associated with tanker
