Service Manager — Tyre Industry
About us
We are a specialist tyre service provider for port, OTR and forklift markets delivering on‑site and in‑shop tyre maintenance and repair for industrial and commercial customers. We’re seeking an organised and proactive Service Manager to lead operations, ensure high quality service delivery and drive customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
Oversee scheduling and dispatch for in‑shop and mobile/onsite service jobs across OTR, forklift and general tyre work
Manage inbound customer communications; ensure accurate job logging and issuance of work orders
Allocate and coordinate technicians, vehicles and parts; maintain and review daily job sheets and job progress
Maintain and optimise customer records, job histories and service reports in the management system
Prepare, review and approve quotations, invoices and job confirmations; ensure timely customer billing and follow‑up
Monitor stock levels for common parts/tyres and liaise with suppliers to maintain availability
Communicate with customers about timings, delays and job completion; manage escalations and ensure service standards are met
Train, mentor and schedule staff to maintain efficiency, safety and compliance
Skills & experience
5+ years’ experience in service management, operations supervision or dispatch coordination ideally in automotive, industrial services, logistics or tyre industry
Proven experience with scheduling/booking systems and MS Office (Excel, Outlook)
Strong customer service orientation, excellent phone and interpersonal skills and experience managing client expectations
Demonstrated ability to prioritise, problem-solve and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment
Attention to detail with solid administrative and reporting skills
Practical understanding of tyre terminology and OTR/forklift operations is a plus
