Our client is looking for an experienced and technically curious Solution Architect to join their team.

About the roleAs a Solution Architect, you’ll design and shape secure, scalable, sustainable and supportable digital solutions across significant government and enterprise platforms.
You’ll work at the intersection of business needs, user experience and technology, turning complex requirements into practical architectural solutions. From pre-sales and discovery through to implementation, delivery assurance and operational transition, you’ll have influence across the full digital delivery lifecycle.
You’ll also play an important role in shaping AI-enabled solutions, ensuring emerging technologies align with appropriate architecture, security and governance requirements.A strong practical background in Drupal architecture and delivery is essential.
What you’ll be doing
Lead solution architecture for complex government and enterprise digital projects, platforms and programsDefine end-to-end architecture across applications, integrations, data, cloud, DevOps, security and operations, with a core focus on DrupalLead discovery workshops, technical discussions, solution design and pre-sales activitiesTranslate complex business, user and technical requirements into clear architectural solutionsProvide technical leadership across multidisciplinary delivery teamsGuide Technical Leads, Developers and specialists while maintaining accountability for the overall solution architectureIdentify and manage technical risks, dependencies, trade-offs and architectural decisionsEnsure security, privacy, resilience, accessibility and compliance requirements are embedded into solutionsWork closely with clients, executives, technical teams and delivery stakeholdersAssess emerging technologies and identify practical opportunities across cloud, AI, open source and digital platformsSupport delivery assurance, operational readiness and transition into support
What you’ll bring
Essential:
Australian citizenship and current residence in AustraliaBaseline security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain oneProven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect or equivalent senior technical roleStrong experience designing and delivering complex digital, software or technology solutionsStrong practical Drupal architecture and delivery experienceExperience across Drupal architecture, configuration, content modelling, module selection, integrations and deploymentExperience across the full lifecycle — pre-sales, discovery, solution shaping, implementation, assurance and operational transitionStrong understanding of software architecture, system design, integration patterns and modern digital technologiesExperience designing secure, scalable, resilient and maintainable solutionsStrong API, integration, data flow and distributed systems experienceExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skillsAbility to influence and lead without direct line-management authorityStrong problem-solving, systems thinking and analytical capabilityAbility to balance technical excellence with delivery realities, commercial outcomes and client needs
Nice to have
Experience with any of the following would be highly regarded:
