Embroidery Assistant

Want to work in the retail and fashion industry, but not as you know it?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Embroidery Assistant to join the Mile End Team and manage the in-house design department. Our in-house designs bring innovation to one of the most demanding industries where the function must meet durability and safety.  

• Experience is not required as full training will be provided to the right candidate! 

Key Responsibilities 

• Program embroidery machines and prepare garments for embroidery
• Operation of embroidery machine ensuring all customer orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Support the retail store with customer service when required
• Ensure all Safe Operating Procedures are followed

Let's talk about you! 

• Excellent attention to detail 
• Strong can-do attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
• Experience in sewing, embroidery or sewing machines would be ideal, but not essential as training will be provided to the right candidate.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills
• MS Office skills - Basic to Intermediate 
• Previous experience in a retail and/or embroidery environment
• A passion for customer service and sales
• The ability to work well in a fast paced team environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
