L’Épi Bakery Group is looking for an experienced and passionate Baker / Pastry Chef to join our production team in Hume, Canberra.

We are an artisan bakery group passionate about quality, craftsmanship and creating products we are proud to serve every day. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, understands the importance of consistency and quality, and wants to be part of a supportive and passionate production team.

About the role

This is a full-time production position working across bakery and pastry production.

Depending on your experience, your work may include:

• Laminated dough production, including croissants and Danish
• Shaping, proofing and baking
• Pie and savoury production
• Sourdough and bread production
• Preparing doughs, fillings and other components
• Following recipes and production schedules
• Maintaining consistent product quality
• Working efficiently as part of the production team
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness

About you

We would love to hear from you if you have professional experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or in a similar bakery production role.

Experience with laminated dough is particularly important.

Experience in the following areas would also be highly regarded:

• Croissant and Danish production
• Pie making
• Sourdough and artisan bread
• High-volume bakery production
• Commercial bakery or pastry production
