Innercity Floorworld is a leading flooring business in Abbotsford, operating for over 40 years.  We supply and install carpet, vinyl and timber flooring to domestic and commercial customers, priding ourselves on our professionalism and the quality of the finished product.

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a full time Flooring Measurer, reporting to the Managing Director.  This role will be responsible for:

·         assessing and measuring customer’s floors

·         liaising with customers to review their flooring prior to installation and assisting with any problems that may be encountered

·         presenting plans drawn to scale to our Sales team members and identifying any issues.

Previous experience in the flooring industry is essential.  The role is suited to someone who has strong inter-personal skills; attention to detail, with the ability to identify subfloor structures; and is punctual and competent with time management.  Aptitude with computer programs would be beneficial.

There will be on-the-job training, in which the requirements of the role will be clearly explained and the way in which plans are drafted and forwarded to Sales team members shown.  There will be a short period of training, with the expectation that prior experience allows the successful candidate to move quickly to work independently.

There is a significant amount of travel, so a valid driver’s licence and roadworthy motor vehicle is required. A valid Working with Children Check is also required.

The role is full time, 5-days a week, Monday to Friday.  The hours required are 7.30 – 3.30, with a lunch break included.

There will be a 6-month probationary period for the successful applicant.
