We’re looking for a Workshop Technician to join our friendly team at Queensland Orthotic Lab.

This is a full-time, hands-on workshop role where you’ll be trained to manufacture custom-made orthotics and ankle braces that help people move and live better.

No experience is required - we provide full on-the-job training.

• Pouring plaster casts

• Freehand shaping and finishing

• Gluing and vacuum moulding

• Shaping materials using workshop machinery

• Preparing materials and keeping the workspace organised

We’re focused on attitude, not experience.

You’ll suit this role if you:

• Have good attention to detail and steady hands

• Take pride in doing neat, accurate work

• Are reliable and self‑motivated

• Enjoy practical, hands‑on tasks

• Are willing to learn and try new things

Helpful (but not essential):

• Interest or experience in manual or visual arts

• Hobbies like woodworking, sculpture, pottery, or model‑making

• Experience using basic workshop tools

Physical requirements:

• Able to stand for periods of time

• Comfortable lifting items up to 10kg

• Full-time hours, Monday to Friday

• No weekend work
