We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a well-established and highly regarded accounting firm in a full-time, office-based position.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant, or a strong Intermediate Accountant who is ready to take the next step into a Senior-level role.

The Opportunity

Working across a diverse portfolio of clients, you will take ownership of accounting and taxation requirements while building strong relationships and providing quality advice and support.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns

• Preparation of BAS, IAS and other compliance requirements

• Managing a portfolio of business clients

• Working across companies, trusts, partnerships and individual entities

• Providing taxation and general business advice

• Liaising directly with clients and building strong relationships

• Assisting and mentoring junior and intermediate accountants where required

• Working closely with Managers and Partners

• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within required timeframes

• Supporting clients with their ongoing accounting and compliance needs

About You

We would love to speak with candidates who have:

• Previous experience as a Senior Accountant within public practice, or

• Strong Intermediate Accountant experience and are ready to step up

• Solid knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting requirements

• Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns

• Excellent communication and client relationship skills

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a collaborative team

• Relevant accounting qualifications

• CA or CPA qualifications, or progress towards these, will be highly regarded
