Logistics Coordinator

Cefn Pty Ltd is a progressive, family-owned and operated business specialising in all aspects of pig production. We have been farming the Clifton district since 1933, and today we employ over 140 staff across multiple sites located in the Clifton, Leyburn and Yelarbon areas.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating feedmill production, feed delivery, and livestock logistics to ensure efficient and timely operations across the business. This role works closely with both internal Cefn management and external parties to align production, transport, and market requirements.

As the Logistics Coordinator flexibility is essential as our core business operates on a 24/7 basis including public holidays.

The position is full-time Monday to Friday with hours of work 7:30am – 4pm (negotiable) at our head office in Clifton.

Feedmill Scheduling Responsibilities

• Determine and coordinate the weekly production schedule for Cefn’s feedmill as well as coordinating orders to an external feedmill.

• Plan and schedule feed deliveries across five sites, managing two full-time trucks.

• Liaise with the external mill regarding production and delivery schedules.

• Operate and oversee an automatic feed delivery system.

• Complete weekly and monthly reconciliation of feed production and deliveries, including month-end processes.

• Data entry and record keeping.

Livestock Planning and Logistics

• Coordinate the weekly sale and allocation of livestock to end markets.

• Plan and schedule weekly livestock transport, balancing market demand with on-farm requirements (four full-time trucks).

• Liaise with farm managers, senior management, and the sales team to ensure alignment across supply, logistics, and sales.

-          Experience in scheduling or similar coordination role.

-          A proactive mindset with high attention to detail being essential.

-          Ability to adapt and problem solve in real time.

-          Valid driver's licence.
