Construction Supervisor - Property Development

About the role

DiggaCo is seeking an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to join the team in Hobart. The successful applicant will be employed by DiggaCo and work across the broader Healey Group property development portfolio, managing the construction delivery of residential and commercial developments across Tasmania. This is a long-term position for someone who can take ownership of projects, coordinate trades and subcontractors, maintain high construction standards and drive projects from commencement through to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction activities across property development sites
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, trades, suppliers and deliveries
• Manage construction programmes and short-term look-ahead schedules
• Read and interpret architectural, structural and services drawings
• Plan works ahead to ensure trades and materials are available when required
• Coordinate works between trades and resolve site issues
• Monitor subcontractor performance, progress and workmanship
• Maintain high standards of construction quality
• Manage site safety, inductions, toolbox meetings and compliance
• Coordinate inspections with building surveyors, engineers and consultants

About you

• 5+ years' experience within the building and construction industry
• Demonstrated experience supervising residential, townhouse or multi-residential construction
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, sequencing and Australian building standards
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and services drawings
• Strong subcontractor and trade coordination skills
• Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving ability
• High expectations for workmanship and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of WHS requirements
• Current White Card
• Current driver's licence
