Social Media Manager & Client Growth Specialist

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager & Client Growth Specialist to join the growing team at Social Agent Co in Canberra.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll manage your own portfolio of clients, create and capture engaging social content, build strong client relationships and help grow our presence across Canberra through referrals, relationships and new business opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing

No two days will look exactly the same. You’ll have the opportunity to work across strategy, content creation, client management and business growth.

Your role will include:

• Managing your own portfolio of clients locally and nationally, including content calendars, scheduling and day-to-day communication.

• Planning, creating and filming social media content, primarily for Instagram and Facebook, with some LinkedIn.

• Attending client meetings, content shoots and filming sessions.

• Filming reels and short-form video content using an iPhone and camera equipment provided.

• Writing engaging social media captions and developing creative content strategy concepts.

• Building strong client relationships through regular communication, check-ins and proactive support.

• Collaborating with our creative team on campaigns, reels, content ideas and strategies.

• Keeping across social media trends and identifying opportunities to apply them to our clients.

• Reviewing content performance and recommending ways to continually improve results.

• Building relationships within the property community to generate referrals and new opportunities.

• Supporting new client onboarding and helping grow Social Agent Co’s Canberra portfolio.

• Working towards clear growth KPIs, with bonus opportunities for new client wins and business growth.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need to tick every box. We’re looking for someone with the right combination of creativity, initiative and strong communication skills who is keen to grow alongside the business. You’ll be confident picking up the phone, following up enquiries, starting conversations and building relationships with potential clients. You’ll be proactive about generating and nurturing leads, comfortable creating new opportunities, and excited by the idea of helping grow Social Agent Co’s presence across Australia.

You’ll be a great fit if:

• You genuinely love social media and content creation.

• You’re comfortable being behind the camera and directing others in front of it.

• You can confidently film engaging reels and short-form content on an iPhone.

• You enjoy working directly with clients and building long-term relationships.

• You’re a strong written and verbal communicator.

• You’re organised and capable of managing multiple clients, deadlines and content calendars.

• You have a good eye for branding, aesthetics, storytelling and what makes content engaging.

• You’re proactive and comfortable bringing new ideas to the table.

• You enjoy meeting new people and building professional relationships.

• You’re self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership of your work.

• You’re based in Canberra and able to travel to client meetings and content sessions when required.

A driver’s licence and reliable car are essential due to regular client meetings and content shoots.

Bonus Points

Experience is great, but curiosity and the willingness to learn matter just as much.

It’s a bonus if you have:

• Previous experience in social media, marketing, content creation or account management.

• Experience using Canva, Figma, CapCut or other content creation and video editing tools.

• An interest in or understanding of the real estate and property industry.

• Experience working in an agency or managing multiple brands.

• Photography or videography experience.

• Experience in client relationships, sales, partnerships or business development.
