About the role
The Company
LAI Group is one of Australia’s largest switchboards and switchrooms manufacturers. With over 115 years of combined experience, we are a leader in the design and manufacture of custom switchboards and switchrooms in Australia.
As a result of continuous national growth, LAI Group is seeking Electrical Testers to join our team at our manufacturing plant in Victoria (Epping) within our Testing department. We would like team members who are excited about the opportunity to build a stable, rewarding, and lucrative career with us.
Schedule
Full-time Position
A 38-hour week (Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime).
Wage (Negotiable - Experience, knowledge, and ability will be taken into consideration).
The Position
An Electrical Tester is required to complete all electrical practices as required in a way is safe for themselves and others around them. You will be required to read and interpret drawings to assist in the manufacturing and testing of switchboards.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and test electrical equipment and switchboards.
Ensure the products LAI supplies is compliant with Australian Standards (AS3000-2018 & AS61439)
Work alongside the drafting team, project managers, and estimators to ensure the project achieves a high-quality standard.
Work alongside the workshop to achieve a high-quality product while also meeting timeframe requirements.
Verify that the equipment for the job suits its purpose.
Understand how to utilise a variety of different testing equipment.
