Duty Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Casual Duty Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.

The successful applicant will have full availability and be able to work across all areas of the venue, including bar, gaming, bistro and general operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue.

• Lead, motivate and support team members to deliver outstanding customer service.

• Ensure compliance with all venue policies and procedures.

• Manage gaming, bar and bistro operations in line with legislative requirements.

• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally.

• Open and close the venue, including cash handling and reconciliations.

• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering when required.

• Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and workplace safety.

• Assist with staff training and development.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Duty Manager or hospitality leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of gaming, bar and food service operations.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• A positive attitude with a hands-on approach to work.

• The ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.

• Exceptional customer service skills.

• Reliable transport and the flexibility to work a rotating roster.

Essential Requirements

• Current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).

• Current Queensland Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG/RSG).

• Current Approved Manager Licence.

• Responsible Management of a Licensed Venue Certification (RMLV).

• Full working rights in Australia.

• Full availability across a 7-day roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
