Opthhalmic Technician

Tamworth Eye Centre seeks a motivated, well-presented person to join our busy practice. This role would suit an Ophthalmic technician or someone in retail optometry keen to be involved further in Ophthalmology. Full training will be provided to the successful applicant.

About the role

Deliver efficient clinical support to Ophthalmologists and patients.

Work in a friendly, supportive and patient-focused team.

Key responsibilities

Performing preliminary workups including use of imaging equipment

• Visual Acuity

• Intraocular Pressure measurement

• Optical coherence tomography (OCT), Humphrey Visual Field machine, biometry, corneal topography

About you

• Optometry, admin or medical experience is desirable

• Commitment to excellence in patient care

• Excellent rapport and patient relationship building skills

• Pride in their work and the service they provide

• The interest and desire to learn new skills

• Professional personal presentation

• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and professional presentation
