Early Childhood Educator Casual/Part- time

Little Environeers is on the hunt for an incredible Educator to join our service in Macleod. We are not your ordinary early learning service, so are seeking an Educator that is extremely confident and passionate about what what they do. With a can do attitude and is ready to lead a nurturing team. Must have experience running a room. We have a beautiful team but they are requiring a strong leader to support them that little bit more.

We foster and encourage an outdoor learning program which operates in all weather and have a strong belief in encouraging children to explore and learn in the outdoors in appropriate attire. We encourage risky play and love  when the children are busy making mess.

While our children don't ask for much, we are looking for educators who;

-Aren't afraid to get muddy and messy
-Understand the benefits of all weather outdoor play and understand that we are predominately an outdoors service, meaning that we are outside in cold/wet and hot weather
-Willing to ditch the pre set experiences and promote and encourage curiosity by using less toys and more real word materials in the learning environment
-Be able to put the children's needs above everything else 
- Be able to work along side a team of extremely passionate educators and share your ideas and visions for a truly holistic approach to children's learning
-Must be able to mange a group of children and direct the team to meet and keep the high expectations we have for ourselves as a team and the children.

Requirements below:

• Diploma in Early Childhood from a recognised RTO (as listed on the approved qualification list by ACECQA)

• Current Provide an Emergency First Aid response in an Education and Care Setting qualification

• Current ACECQA approved Anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training

• Valid Working with Children Check clearance

• Accredited Child Protection Training

• Teacher Accreditation as per state/territory requirements if appliable

• Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and/or My Time Our Place Framework, Education and Care Services National Law (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), Family Assistance Law (Child Care Subsidy 2018)

• Understand that our Service Policies and Procedures must be read

• Awareness of Education and Care Services National Law (2010)

• Awareness of Education and Care Services National Regulation (2011) 

• Awareness of National Quality Standard (NQS)

• Awareness of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)/My Time Our Place (MTOP)

• Awareness of ECA Code of Ethics

• Work Health and Safety Act 2009

• Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) (2014) 

• Fair Work Act 

• Family Assistance Law (2018)

• Child Protection legislation 

• National  Principles of Child Safe Organisations/ relevant Child Safe Standards 

• Other relevant state and federal legislation and regulations as required

• be responsible for management of the day-to-day operation of the assigned room, including providing leadership and support to educators and staff within your team in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures

• in collaboration with the Educational Leader lead the development, implementation and reflection of the educational program to provide a high-quality program for all children and families

• build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management to deliver best outcomes for families and children.

• Must have do food safely, ASCIA anaphylaxis refresher prior to commencement

• Be willing to be a Responsible Person of the service
