About the role
Bundaberg offers the perfect balance of career opportunity and coastal lifestyle. Enjoy affordable living, shorter commutes, and access to stunning beaches and the Great Barrier Reef, all while building your career in a fast-growing regional hub. With strong investment, diverse industries, and a welcoming community, Bundaberg is an ideal place to live, work, and thrive.
Lead and inspire our team to create real change for young people in the Bundaberg region, working across the Transition to Work and Inclusive Employment Australia contracts. Relocation support available. This is more than a management role—it's an opportunity to influence the future of youth employment, develop high-performing teams and drive outcomes that change lives.
our program
Transition to Work (TtW) and Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) are Australian Government’s youth specialist employment service programs that support young people to develop practical skills to gain employment or connect with education or training. At yourtown, we understand everyone is unique – and so is their journey to finding work. We don’t just help with the job hunt. We provide tailored, youth-focused support for young people to get work, skills and practical help to transform their lives, delivered by teams who genuinely care.
yourtown has been delivering youth specialist Employment Services for 20+ years and is a well-respected, long-term Transition to Work provider. In 2024/25, we supported 4,364 young people in building skills, confidence, and a clear sense of direction for their future. Through paid work placements, industry exposure, and one-on-one coaching, yourtown helped young people develop real-world experience and long-term career pathways.
your opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced and energetic leader to guide our Bundaberg Employment Services team. This role oversees the delivery of Transition to Work (TtW) and Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA), two complementary programs operating under one roof to create a connected, high impact service for young people and employers. Our contracts allow us to work alongside participants in innovative ways, it’s about engagement, not compliance.
As the Business Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across both programs. You will drive performance, strengthen employer and community partnerships, identify growth opportunities and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Through authentic leadership and coaching, you will inspire and develop a diverse team to achieve ambitious goals while delivering exceptional participant experiences. This is an opportunity to build capability, influence change and make a lasting impact on the lives of young people, employers and the broader community.
