The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Discharges Officer to join our Customer Services division.

Reporting to the Discharges Manager, this role will be responsible for preparing loan discharge payout figures. This includes liaising with our borrowers, solicitors and third parties to ensure the loan discharges are finalised within the required timeframes.

This is a great opportunity for an individual who has a year or two of experience in mortgage discharges and is looking for their next challenge.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare payout figures, including all applicable fees and costs

• Prepare payout figures for internal use 

• Ensure Discharge of Mortgage Documents are prepared and executed correctly

• Prepare solicitor instructions and borrower correspondence in relation to their discharge

• Monitor the email inbox, prioritise requests, sort incoming mail and electronic filing

• Process daily report and update accounts as required

• Respond to customer queries in a friendly and professional manner

About You

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team, likes working with data and can provide excellent customer service. The successful candidate will also possess the following:

• Knowledge of mortgage discharges and experience in the financial services industry, preferred

• Ability to accurately process data with a strong attention to detail 

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Strong organisational skills and time management
