About the role
This is a 24-month fixed-term, full-time position (with the possibility of extension or permanency).
The Kings Park Science Program undertakes research in native plant biology, underpinning the conservation and ecological restoration of Western Australia's unique biodiversity. Our research is focused on restoration ecology and ecophysiology, seed science, conservation genetics, conservation biotechnology, ecosystem ecology, fire ecology and systematics.
We currently have an opportunity for a Research Technician (Ecological Geneticist) to join our team.
Under limited direction of the Research Scientist, this position will provide technical support to a collaborative industry-funded research project in the Pilbara. This position will support laboratory activities (genetic and/or ecological) and extended fieldwork programs (frequent and remote work), focused on the pollination ecology of threatened plant species on iron ore ranges in the Pilbara.
