What does the job look like?

Are you an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic looking for something different?

At Linfox, you will step into a service-led workshop environment focused on quality workmanship. Our teams partner with OEMs and external specialists for major repairs, allowing you to focus on what matters day-to-day: servicing, diagnostics and keeping our fleet operating safely and reliably.

Work with a modern fleet in a well-equipped workshop, supported by a team that values precision, safety and consistency over pace.

We are currently hiring for two permanent Heavy Vehicle Mechanic positions, offering the flexibility to choose the shift that best suits your lifestyle:

• AM Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm
• PM Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 11:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Carry out high-quality servicing and maintenance across our fleet, including oil changes, filters, lubrication and general mechanical work.

• Diagnose and fault-find mechanical and electrical issues using modern diagnostic tools.
• Inspect key components including engines, transmissions and steering systems.
• Replace and reassemble parts with accuracy and care.
• Complete inspections, detailed reports and roadworthy assessments.
• Test and adjust vehicles post-service to ensure performance and safety standards are met.
• Provide occasional breakdown support to get vehicles back on the road quickly.

What you will bring:

• Trade Qualified: Mechanical trade qualification with experience in heavy vehicles.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to interpret manuals and follow processes accurately.
• Licensing: HR or HC licence desirable, but not essential.
• Time Management: Able to manage workload while maintaining quality.
• Customer Focus: Clear communication and a team-first mindset.
• Positive Approach: Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
