Waverley Forklifts is an independently Australian owned business, with sites located in NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, NT and WA. With a history spanning over 50 years, we have grown to be one of the largest fully independent forklift and transport companies in Australia, specialising in Forklift Rentals, Equipment Servicing, Equipment Sales and Machinery Transport.

The Role:

This entry level role is the first point of contact for customers and general enquiries and therefore is essentially the 'face' of the business, requiring an authentic customer service approach across all functions of the role. You will join a friendly team and handle a variety of tasks – no two days are ever the same!

The Receptionist (Business Administrator) role will incorporate duties including:

• Answering the switchboard and directing calls

• Meeting and greeting all visitors

• Operations related administration support for all departments, requiring accurate data entry

• Responsibility for the efficient day to day running of the branch, with office management tasks such as supplies ordering and arranging all postage requirements

• Opportunity to be instrumental in completing proposal documents

• Additional project work and tasks as required and directed
  

The Right Person for the Role:

Recognising that this role could be the springboard for a long-term career with Waverley Forklifts, we're looking for someone who is customer focused, with a positive can-do approach and an upbeat, engaging personality. If you've come from hospitality, retail, or another customer-facing background, you probably already have the skills we are looking for. Specifically, you display the following:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly phone manner and the ability to build rapport quickly with all kinds of people

• Experience working in a busy, customer-facing environment (think hospitality, retail, or similar) where you've had to juggle multiple priorities and keep a smile on your face

• Confidence picking up new systems and processes, with the willingness to learn Microsoft Office Suite and other software (full training provided)

• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

• A desire to build a genuine career in business, or within the Hire industry

• No industry experience necessary. We're far more interested in your attitude and people skills than your background, and we'll teach you the rest
