Graduate Software Enginer (Hybrid, Entry-Level)

Role Description The Graduate Software Engineer (Hybrid, Entry-Level) role is a part-time position based in Sydney, NSW, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some tasks to be completed from home. The role involves contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of software applications, particularly web-based and back-end systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, participating in code reviews, debugging and resolving issues, and collaborating with peers on technical solutions. The Graduate Software Engineer will also assist in documenting software features, testing new functionality, and learning best practices in software engineering and version control.QualificationsStrong foundation in Computer Science concepts and principles.Skills in Software Development and Programming for building and maintaining applications.Experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development, including working with server-side technologies.Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to apply OOP techniques in practical projects.Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.Ability to learn quickly, follow technical guidance, and work effectively in a hybrid team environment.Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
