We are looking for an experienced Power Electronics Design Engineer with a strong professional baseline in AC-side / mains power electronics and industrial products.
You need credible hands-on design capability across power stages, switching, protection, sensing, AC systems and motors, and you need to be able to explain clearly what you personally designed and delivered.
But you do not need to have done everything we do.

To join an established Australian design and manufacturing operation backed by a major global industrial group and widen your engineering repertoire across:

embedded motor-control products

You will apply that capability to new product design, customer-specific product customisation and major product redesigns / overhauls.
And you will do it across a broad range of markets:
industrial | residential | marine | caravans & RVs | off-road | off-grid | electric vehicles
These are commercial products used every day by people around the world.
The design challenge...
This is fundamentally a Power Electronics designer role.
You may be:
defining a new product architecture
selecting a topology
designing or modifying a power stage
specifying switching devices
developing gate-drive, sensing or protection circuitry
designing or reviewing high-current PCB layouts
adapting an existing product for a new application or customer
solving thermal, EMC or reliability problems
redesigning ageing or underperforming products
taking designs through prototype, validation and release
You should have professional experience with AC electrical systems, mains-side power electronics and motors, together with strong fundamentals across several areas such as:
SCRs / TRIACs / MOSFETs / IGBTs / SiC
gate drivers
AC-DC / DC-AC conversion
three-phase systems
motor control
current and voltage sensing
protection
thermal design and derating
EMC / EMI
isolation, creepage and clearance
prototype bring-up and fault diagnosis
