About the role

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Gelato Server to join our team at our Upcoming Birkenhead Point store in Drumoyne. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst contributing to an exciting hospitality environment. As a Gelato Server, you will be the face of The Scoop Artisan Gelato, delivering exceptional service and creating positive experiences for our customers. This role is essential in maintaining our reputation for quality service and ensuring every customer leaves satisfied with their visit.

What you'll be doing

• Serving customers with professionalism and warmth, taking orders and providing product recommendations

• Preparing and presenting gelato with precision and care, ensuring consistent portions and presentation standards

• Operating the till system accurately and processing payments efficiently

• Maintaining a clean and hygienic service area and gelato display cases

• Restocking supplies and ingredients as needed throughout your shift

• Responding promptly to customer enquiries and handling requests with courtesy and efficiency

• Following food safety and health regulations at all times

• Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues during busy periods

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or waiting staff roles (preferred but not essential)

• Excellent customer service skills with a genuine enthusiasm for engaging with people

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak trading times

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food hygiene standards

• Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to shift work

• Positive attitude, team player mentality, and willingness to learn

• Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and card transactions

• Food handling certification or willingness to obtain this qualification (if not already held)
