Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic – Full Time

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing, maintaining and repairing residential and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

· Read drawings and specifications and determine installation requirements;

· Install refrigeration pipework, mounting brackets and system components;

· Install, commission, service, maintain and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems;

· Conduct pressure and leak testing, evacuation and refrigerant charging within the scope of the licences held;

· Diagnose faults and repair or replace defective components;

· Complete preventative maintenance, warranty work and service reports; and

· Ensure all work complies with applicable safety requirements, Australian Standards and licence conditions.

What We’re Looking For

· A relevant trade qualification in air conditioning and refrigeration, such as an AQF Certificate III or an equivalent overseas trade qualification;

· Relevant experience installing, servicing and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems;

· A current Australian Refrigerant Handling Licence, or evidence that you are progressing through a recognised Australian skills-recognition or licensing pathway;

· A current driver licence valid in Queensland;

· A current White Card, or the ability to obtain one;

· Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills; and

· Good communication, customer service and teamwork skills.

Pay: $88,920.00 – $98,800.00 per year
