REFOCUS is seeking a Kinship Assessment Practitioner (Equipping Kin) to join our team and support prospective kinship carers through assessment, preparation, and approval processes.
This role works within the Equipping Kin service and plays a vital role in ensuring children and young people requiring out-of-home care are placed with safe, stable, and nurturing kinship carers. The position works collaboratively with Child Safety, Connecting Kin Practitioners , and internal teams to support timely assessments and successful transitions into ongoing support services.

As a Kinship Assessment Practitioner, you will:
Strong assessment skills, professional judgement, cultural capability, and a commitment to child safety are essential to this role.
Pay and conditions
Permanent part-time position
Hourly pay rates range from:
Level 1 PPT3 $30.90 per hour, up to Level 3 PPT4 $52.93 per hour
Classification level and pay rate are assessed and determined based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated capability.
