Construction Manager

Construction Manager | 12-Month Contract (Likely Extension)

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to work data centre projects in Victoria on an initial 12-month contract, with strong potential for extension. This role offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of complex construction works within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of allocated projects, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and time objectives are met. You will lead project teams, subcontractors and suppliers while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, resources, and schedules

• Oversee delivery teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient performance

• Monitor project progress, provide accurate reporting, and ensure timely project closure

• Manage financial performance including forecasting, budgeting, and cost control

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements

• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and clients

• Identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies

• Coach and support team members, driving accountability and performance

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience as a Manager in the construction sector, within Victorian infrastructure or utilities projects

• Strong understanding of Australian Standards, safety regulations, and project governance frameworks (PMBOK or equivalent)

• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and competing priorities

• People leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and contractors across multiple sites

• High-level problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience highly regarded

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (or trade/technical equivalent)

• Current driver’s licence
