About the role
About us:
The Rockhampton Hospital Cancer Care Pharmacy team delivers safe and effective pharmaceutical care to Cancer Care patients at Rockhampton Hospital and outreach services (Emerald, Theodore and Biloela).
This includes the provision of cancer care medicines, provision of medicines information to both patients and the multi-disciplinary team, system management of the oncology information systems (MOSAIQ), and ensure quality service provision through continuous quality improvement. The Cancer Care Pharmacy team is part of the Rockhampton, Mount Morgan and Capricorn Coast Pharmacy Service Group.
About the role:
Be the oncology expert. Deliver specialised cancer pharmacy care across Rockhampton Hospital and outreach services in Emerald, Biloela and Theodore—with plenty of clinical autonomy and the chance to tackle complex cases. Lead, mentor and problem-solve. Support and guide pharmacists, interns and clinical assistants while using your expertise to navigate urgent clinical challenges and keep the team thriving. Make patient care the priority. Champion safe, compassionate and patient-centred care while helping coordinate workloads, staffing, rostering and the day-to-day delivery of a high-quality pharmacy service. Bring your ideas to the table. Lead exciting quality improvement and research initiatives, contribute to education and professional development, and help shape innovative cancer pharmacy services that can influence practice beyond the region.
About you:
🎓Pharmacy degree and current AHPRA registration in Australia (or be eligible for registration). 🧬Advanced clinical expertise in oncology and the confidence to independently deliver high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centred care. Oncology experience is highly desirable, and postgraduate study is a bonus!🧑🤝🧑Strong communicator who can juggle competing priorities, support and supervise a team, and thrive in a complex multidisciplinary environment. 🌟Skills to develop innovative services, improve clinical practice, contribute to research and turn great ideas into action.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $14,385 p.m. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h. 12.75% employer superannuation contribution17.5% leave loading
