Drive policy and advocacy that influences Australia’s response to men’s use of family violence.
About us
No to Violence is Australia’s peak body for individuals and organisations that work with men that use violence. We provide training, sector development and advocacy across the sector. We operate the Men’s Referral Service, providing a counselling service and referral pathways directly to men who use violence. As a pro-feminist organisation, women and children are at the centre of what we do – by ending men’s use of family violence, families, individuals, and communities are safer.

About the role

Classification: SCHADS Level 6
Location: Melbourne, Hybrid, Remote
As Policy and Advocacy Advisor, you’ll work in a dynamic, nationally focused team to develop and deliver policy and advocacy initiatives that influence Australia’s response to men’s use of family violence. You’ll have a specific jurisdictional focus while also contributing to broader NTV policy and advocacy priorities.
You’ll analyse emerging political and social issues, bring together research, practitioner knowledge, lived experience and government perspectives, and turn that evidence into policy positions, submissions, briefings and advocacy materials. You’ll also work closely with the research and communications functions to strengthen NTV’s influence and represent the organisation in sector meetings, working groups and forums.
A key part of the role is building strong relationships with members, government, research institutions and sector partners, creating opportunities for their expertise and perspectives to inform policy and advocacy priorities.
