Located on the Yarra River in the heart of Southbank, Soho is a high-energy restaurant and bar that transitions from busy lunches and dinners into lively evening trade, DJs, drinks and late nights.

We're looking for an experienced, confident and energetic Night Manager to take ownership of our evening and late-night operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a busy venue, knows how to lead from the floor and can take control of a shift from start to finish.

The Role

As Night Manager, you will be the manager in charge during evening and late-night trade, responsible for ensuring Soho operates at a high standard across service, people, atmosphere and venue operations.

You won't just supervise the shift — you'll own it.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Leading the FOH team throughout evening and late-night serviceTaking overall responsibility for the venue while on dutyDriving exceptional customer service and a strong venue atmosphereManaging staff deployment, sections, breaks and labour throughout the shiftMaintaining strong communication between the floor, bar and kitchenSupporting and directing supervisors and senior team membersManaging guest feedback, complaints and difficult situations professionallyWorking closely with security and ensuring strong RSA and venue complianceOverseeing DJs, entertainment and the transition from restaurant to late-night tradeEnsuring venue presentation and operational standards are maintained throughout the nightManaging closing procedures and ensuring the venue is properly securedProviding clear handovers and reporting any operational or staffing issues to senior management

ABOUT YOU:

We're Looking For Someone Who

Has previous management experience in a busy restaurant, bar or hospitality venueIs confident running a high-volume serviceIs comfortable managing both restaurant and late-night bar environmentsLeads from the front and isn't afraid to get involvedCan confidently direct and motivate a teamHas excellent customer service and communication skillsRemains calm and makes good decisions under pressureUnderstands labour management, RSA and venue complianceHas strong attention to detailTakes genuine pride in the venue they are runningIs available to work evenings, weekends and late nights

Experience in a high-volume restaurant/bar or entertainment-led venue will be highly regarded.
