About this opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, customer-centric, experienced team player to join our team for this permanent, 5-day full-time CBD on site role.

• Build strong and lasting relationships with customers and provide second-to-none customer service.

• Handling all customer service-related issues, problem solving, procedurals and process writing 

• Efficiently handle bookings, documentation, customs reporting, and job invoicing

• Assisting in the development and implementation of Customer Service Strategy, policy and strategy

• Working on projects and initiatives, as directed by the National Customer Service Manager

• Ensure consistent Customer satisfaction by providing effective and efficient responses to customer enquiries, addressing issues, and resolving concerns promptly.

• Work closely with internal teams to optimize operations 

• Ensure that the team comply with all local customs and IATA regulations and requirements.

• ensure transport jobs are performed smoothly.

• Monitor transport sub-contractor’s performance.

• Timely invoicing & money collection from customers. 

• Excellent multitasking skills within their workspace as well as computer savvy

About you

Our ideal candidate will embody our shared values of innovation and creating value for customers, have exposure to the freight industry as well as a passion and willingness to further develop their skill set under the guidance of the OOCL Logistics team.

• At least 3 year of Export/ Import Freight forwarding experience in the logistics industry.

• Bachelors Degree in any field 

• Develop and maintain solid working relationships with all departments

• Respond to urgent matters as required.

• Maintain a professional & high-quality service-oriented environment at all times.

• Excellent attention to detail

• Possessing a commitment to processes, analytical thinking, and methodical approaches with proficiency in diverse system capabilities

• General Shipping and Logistics Knowledge

• The successful candidate will also display excellent communication skills, the ability to converse with people of all levels and be well organized, efficient, and effective.

• Must have permanent full working rights in Australia.
