Day-to-day tasks include welcoming guests, presenting menus, providing detailed explanations of dishes and beverages, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and managing table settings throughout the service. The role also involves coordinating with the kitchen and bar, handling guest inquiries and feedback, processing payments, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Attica Restaurant in Melbourne, VIC, requiring evening and weekend availability and a strong commitment to exceptional guest experiences.Qualifications Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction and professional, courteous interaction.Experience in Food & Beverage and Food Service, preferably in fine-dining or high-end restaurant environments.Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal communication and active listening with guests and team members.Basic Cooking knowledge or understanding of culinary techniques to accurately describe menu items and support guest choices.Previous experience as a waiter or server in a quality restaurant setting.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.Strong teamwork skills and reliability, with a proactive approach to supporting colleagues and service flow.Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.Knowledge of wine, beverage service, and food pairing is highly beneficial.Relevant hospitality training or certifications are an advantage.
