Warehouse Supervisor

Cahill Transport is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our East Arm, Darwin warehouse.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating warehouse operations, supervising the team and maintaining strong standards across safety, inventory accuracy, productivity and customer service.

Working Monday to Friday, 7:00AM – 4:00PM, you'll take ownership of daily workflow while working closely with our operations team to keep freight moving safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and coordinating the warehouse team and daily workload.

• Managing receivals, put-away, order allocation, picking and dispatch.

• Planning labour and workflow to support efficient loading, unloading and vehicle turnaround.

• Maintaining inventory accuracy through stock checks, cycle counts and investigation of discrepancies.

• Managing blocked stock and damaged goods, including verification, segregation and isolation as required.

• Maintaining inventory governance and completing scheduled stocktake activities.

• Monitoring warehouse performance against customer service, delivery and operational KPIs.

• Providing hands-on safety leadership, including incident reporting and maintaining strong housekeeping standards.

• Overseeing warehouse MHE, including pre-start checks, fluid checks, charging and general equipment readiness.

• Coordinating with operations, administration and customers to resolve day-to-day issues.

• Training, coaching and supporting warehouse employees.

• Conducting toolbox meetings and reinforcing safe work practices.

• Ensuring compliance with WHS, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and company procedures.

• Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes, accuracy and efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience supervising or leading a team within a warehouse, distribution or transport environment.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.

• Current Forklift Licence with confidence operating a forklift when required.

• Experience using warehouse or inventory management systems.

• Good understanding of WHS and Chain of Responsibility requirements.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and respond to changing operational demands.

• Confident computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook and Word.

• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, operations teams and customers.

• A practical, safety-focused approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
