Corporate Accountant

An exciting opportunity to build on and develop your corporate accounting skills with a variety of work and clients. Flexible working arrangements are also available to all team members.

Our office location is in the CBD and close to a number of cafes, restaurants, leisure centres and key business contacts. 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and review financial statements: monthly, half-yearly and annual accounts based upon financial information that is compiled and analysed within Australian and International Accounting Standards

• Responsible for ensuring that all financial reporting deadlines are met, internally and externally as per ASX and Australian Securities and Investments Corporation (ASIC) requirements including quarterly, semi-annual & annual reports as well as accounting standards application to commercial transactions

• Preparation of audit files for half-year and full-year accounts

• Liaison with external company auditors

• Co-ordination of the completion of the annual income tax return and other indirect taxes

• Liaise with clients, financial professionals, tax professionals, legal providers on accounting tasks and corporate transactions

To be successful in this role we expect you will have:

• Preferably 3-6 years of accounting experience preferably in audit or business advisory

• Great team player

• Exposure to and advanced skills in use of accounting software essential

• Advanced Excel skills essential

• Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy

• Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills

• Interest in completing CA or CPA qualification or have commenced studies
