Product Owner - Service & Work Management - SAP S/4HANA Transformation - 12 Mths

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner – Service & Work Management to join a major enterprise SAP S/4HANA transformation program, supporting the delivery of a strategic Operations Centre and Integrated Case and Work Order Management capability.

Location: North Sydney – Hybrid (3 days in office)
Duration: 12 months contract
Day Rate: $1000-$1200 a day

Working closely with Operations Centre SMEs, operational stakeholders and technology delivery teams, you will lead the product vision, prioritisation and delivery of a capability providing a unified, end-to-end view of operational work – from case creation and service requests through to work order planning, dispatch, execution and completion.

As the primary leader for the product, you will ensure the solution delivers measurable operational value while preparing the end-state capability for transition to the business Product Owner.

A key focus will be establishing genuine business-led product ownership. You will engage stakeholders who are understandably focused on current operational processes and risk considerations, helping them think strategically about future-state ways of working, embrace new operating models and realise the opportunities enabled through transformation.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap and delivery priorities
• Own and prioritise the backlog including Epics, Features, User Stories and acceptance criteria
• Partner closely with Operations Centre SMEs and operational stakeholders to shape business requirements and future-state processes
• Lead prioritisation decisions balancing business value, operational risk, complexity and delivery timelines
• Facilitate workshops and align diverse business and technology stakeholder groups
• Shape capabilities across case management, work orders, planning, dispatch, SLA monitoring and operational workflows
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Architects, Scrum Masters and delivery teams throughout Agile delivery
• Challenge traditional ways of working constructively and build confidence in new operating models and processes
• Support SIT, UAT, business readiness and Go-Live activities
• Coach and build Product Owner capability within the business to enable sustainable ownership beyond implementation

Experience

• Proven experience as a Product Owner within large-scale technology or business transformation programs
• Strong experience across Agile product delivery, roadmap development and backlog management
• Experience within operations, service management, work management, case management or field service environments
• Exposure to enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP FSM (Field Service Management), SAP ESM (Enterprise Service Management), IBM Maximo, or Genesys highly regarded
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence, challenge and bring stakeholders on the transformation journey
• Demonstrated experience shaping future-state processes and operating models
• Experience coaching or mentoring business SMEs/Product Owners within Agile environments
• Excellent communication, workshop facilitation and stakeholder management capability
