Cabinet Maker for factory work

About the role

Johnson Cabinets Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker for factory work to join our team in Arundel, QLD. This is a full-time position based at our manufacturing facility, where you will play a vital role in producing high-quality custom cabinetry for our valued clients. This position is essential to our production operations, ensuring that we maintain our reputation for excellence in craftsmanship and timely delivery. You will work in a collaborative factory environment, contributing to the creation of bespoke cabinet solutions that meet our exacting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble cabinets and fittings with precision, ensuring all items are installed correctly

• Install hinges, drawers and other hardware to cabinets to make ready for delivery & installation

• Quality check finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and company standards

• Maintain and care for tools and machinery, reporting any maintenance issues promptly

• Work safely in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures

• Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet production schedules

• Keep the work area clean and organised throughout the day

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Cabinet Maker in a factory or manufacturing environment

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Physical fitness and capability to lift and handle materials safely

• Reliability and a strong work ethic with the ability to meet production deadlines

• Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices

• Experience with CNC machinery or other advanced woodworking technology is desirable
