Wallis Drilling is seeking a skilled Fulltime Payroll Officer to join our team based at our new premises in Hazelmere.

The Role

This position includes the following tasks;

• Process fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles accurately for all salaried and hourly employees.

• Coordinate the onboarding setup for new starters, process terminations, and maintain updated digital personnel files.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and professionally resolve payroll, timesheet, and leave inquiries from internal staff.

• Maintain strict compliance with statutory legislation, including PAYG withholding, Payroll Tax, and Superannuation.

• Perform regular audits and reconciliations of annual, personal, and long service leave balances.

• Complete comprehensive monthly payroll reconciliations and prepare variation reports for the finance team.

• Assist the broader finance and accounting department with ad-hoc projects and administrative duties as required.

• Other ad-hoc duties as required.

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role you will require:

• Bring recent experience operating successfully within a high-volume, fast-paced payroll environment.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of payroll processing, taxation rules, and modern award interpretation.

• Maintain high proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with strong intermediate Excel capabilities.

• Utilise Pronto ERP confidently, with direct experience using UKG systems considered a distinct advantage.

• Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and an exact attention to data detail.

• Communicate clearly and professionally across stakeholders while managing sensitive data with strict confidentiality.

• Experience working with Pronto & UKG WorkForce Ready and Payroll Metrics advantageous
