About the role
Alice Springs and APY Lands
Nganampa Health Council (NHC) is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance of our clinics, staff accommodation and other facilities across the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands.
This is a practical operational role for someone who is comfortable carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs, coordinating contractors and responding to urgent maintenance issues in remote locations. You will also lead the development and implementation of a preventative maintenance program to improve the condition and reliability of NHC’s facilities and assets.
Reporting to the Business Manager, you will:
This role requires a substantial commitment to working in remote communities.
The successful applicant must be available to work on the APY Lands for a minimum of 25 weeks each year, including overnight stays away from Alice Springs. Extensive travel between communities across the APY Lands is an essential part of the position.
A work vehicle is provided for work-related travel.
You will have:
A relevant trade qualification or formal training in building maintenance, facilities management or asset management is desirable. Experience working and travelling in remote communities will also be highly regarded.
Applicants must reside, or be prepared to reside, in Alice Springs or on the APY Lands.
Nganampa Health Council is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to Anangu across the APY Lands. Our facilities are essential to the delivery of safe and reliable health services in remote communities.
