About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinician (Registered Nurse) to join the Aged Care Leadership Team in the role of Clinical & Quality Advisor based in Melbourne, Victoria. In this key leadership role, you will be a part of a governance team responsible for quality assurance, clinical risk management advisory, innovation, audit and continuous improvement activities to ensure best practice and improved outcomes. As a national provider in five states, you will have the added opportunity to travel to our different homes to share your expertise and guidance.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Clinical Support: Provide clinical support and best practice advice to the Clinical Nurse Managers and their teams across all aspects of quality systems and clinical care.
• Project Leadership: Lead and participate in quality improvement and innovative projects aimed at continuously enhancing the care provided to consumers working with key stakeholders to enact positive change
• Clinical Governance: Assist in Internal Audits, ACQSC regulatory activities, Coronial Requests, collection of quality indicators across all allocated sites, and identifying improvement opportunities in clinical care working within the Clinical Governance Framework
• Quality Assurance: Assist the Aged Care Leadership team in developing and reviewing clinical policies and procedures, supporting continuous improvement plans at both site and organizational levels, educating nurses on quality improvement and promoting safe and high-quality care.
• Professional Development: Mentoring our Clinical Nurse Managers with innovative ideas to increase knowledge, opportunities to develop personally through education and professionally with supported post graduate studies and career progression within Roshana’s continual growth strategy

About You: Skills / Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Experience in clinical leadership and/or clinical governance roles (preferably in Aged Care)
• Excellent communication skills – both written & oral
• Strong organisational & change management skills
• Ability to develop and implement effective quality management systems
• High level analytical, problem solving and solutions focused capability
• Experience in continuous improvement strategies and influencing teams to gain positive outcomes
• Knowledge of Aged Care legislation & Accreditation Standards
