Formwork Carpenter

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand and all material and construction requirements
• Determine all materials needed for each job
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
• Cut and shape building materials according to measurements
• Measure, cut and assemble wooden and metal forms for pouring concrete
• Inspect completed formwork to ensure conformance to specifications
• Enable the stability of structures through the installation of shoring
• Disassemble formwork after use in a way that allows for its reuse.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment

Pay: From $96,182.00 per year

Application Question(s):

• • At least 2 years previous experience as a formwork carpenter in off site precast fabrication
• Certificate III in Carpentry
• Must have a Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Carpentry work experience in building and construction is desirable.
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• Must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Truck license, civil experience with machinery tickets will be an advantage
