About the role...

We are looking for an all rounder Food Services and Cafe Assistant who are passionate about caring for aging Victorians and can communicate well within a team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assist in preparing meals for residents

• Stack, wash, dry dishes

• Deliver food & beverages to residents

• Meet all required infection control requirements

• Serving customers from the community as well as the residents

About you...

Someone who has previous experience in the aged care industry (desirable), are kind, genuine and caring individual who is committed to providing a consistent, professional, and effective level of service.  You are also respectful and passionate about caring for older people.

You are an upbeat and positive person, who can clearly communicate, and build genuine relationships with Residents, members of the community, the team and other staff and ensure a high level of dignity is maintained.

To be considered for this role, the following relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and qualifications is desirable:

• Certificate II or higher in Hospitality/Food & Beverage

• Safe Food Handling Training and/or knowledge

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to multi-task, organise and prioritise

• Ability to make decisions and solve problems within authority

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
