Experienced Butcher / Meat Cutter

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Butcher / Meat Cutter to join our team at Chatswood.

About the Role

This position is mainly focused on meat cutting, trimming, portioning and packing. You will be responsible for preparing fresh meat products to a high standard and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Key Responsibilities

• Cutting and trimming fresh meat according to specifications

• Portioning and preparing meat for sale

• Packing, weighing and labelling meat products

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

• Following food safety and workplace procedures

• Keeping the meat preparation area clean and organized

• Minimizing waste and ensuring good product presentation

• Working efficiently and accurately as part of a small team

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in a butcher shop, supermarket or meat preparation environment

• Is confident with meat cutting and trimming

• Has good attention to detail

• Understands food safety and hygiene requirements

• Is reliable, punctual and hardworking

• Can work independently and as part of a team

• Takes pride in producing clean, well-presented products

Formal butcher qualifications are preferred but not essential for the right candidate with relevant practical experience.
