Role Description The Supply Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across a range of year levels, ensuring continuity of learning when regular classroom teachers are unavailable. Day-to-day tasks include implementing existing lesson plans, preparing learning activities, managing classroom behaviour, assessing student progress, and providing feedback in line with school policies. The role involves fostering a positive, inclusive, Christ-centred learning environment that reflects the College’s CARE values and supports the wellbeing and development of all students. The Supply Teacher will collaborate with school leadership and staff, participate in relevant school activities, and maintain accurate records of student learning and attendance. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Beaconsfield, QLD.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with experience working across multiple year levels or subject areas.Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Training, including the ability to adapt and deliver existing plans to meet diverse learner needs.Excellent Communication skills, including clear classroom communication, constructive feedback to students, and effective collaboration with colleagues and families.Relevant teaching qualification and current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the appropriate Queensland authority.Understanding of, and willingness to support, the Christian and Seventh-day Adventist ethos of the College.Demonstrated classroom management skills and ability to create an inclusive, safe, and respectful learning environment.Current Working With Children Check (or equivalent) and adherence to child safeguarding and duty of care requirements.Flexibility, reliability, and resilience, with the capacity to quickly build rapport with students and adapt to different classes and routines.
