About the role
Event Coordinator - Diabetes Australia
You know how to make an event feel right.
You've seen what it takes to make an event run smoothly and you know it's never a solo act. It's about teamwork, trust, and timing. That's where you shine.
At Diabetes Australia, we're looking for an Event Coordinator to help us deliver events that connect, inform, and inspire. From community activations to national campaigns, you'll be part of a collaborative team that's passionate about improving the lives of the 1.5 million Australians living with diabetes.
You may have seen this opportunity advertised recently and be wondering why it's back. The good news is that following some positive changes to our team structure, we've created an additional Event Coordinator position. As our events program continues to grow, we're expanding the team to ensure we can continue delivering high-quality experiences for our communities, partners, and stakeholders.
This is a full-time permanent role based in Brisbane, with some travel across Queensland and interstate. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, suppliers, venues, and stakeholders to make sure every detail is covered and most importantly, that every event feels meaningful.
What you'll bring
At least 2 years of experience running events end-to-end
A knack for logistics, planning, and keeping things on track
Confidence dealing with suppliers, venues, and internal teams
A calm, solutions-focused approach when things get busy
A genuine interest in creating inclusive, accessible experiences
You won't be left to figure things out alone. You'll be supported by a team that values compassion, authenticity, and collaboration. We share ideas, solve problems together, and celebrate the wins, big and small.
Whether you're coordinating logistics, liaising with suppliers, or helping develop promotional materials, you'll be working alongside people who care deeply about the work and each other.
What you'll be responsible forPlanning and coordinating national events, activations, webinars, virtual events, and digital engagements, ensuring seamless delivery and an engaging participant experience
Managing logistics, timelines, budgets, and compliance
Communicating with venues, speakers, suppliers, and internal teams
Keeping event records up to date in our CRM and platforms
Supporting marketing efforts with collateral and promotional assets
Helping ensure every event is inclusive, accessible, and aligned with our values
At Diabetes Australia, events aren't just dates on a calendar; they're opportunities to connect with communities, share knowledge, and advocate for better health outcomes. Your work helps bring those moments to life.
You'll be trusted to take ownership, contribute ideas, and make a real impact. And you'll know exactly how your role fits into the bigger picture.
🎁 What's in it for you?A role with purpose and impact
A team that values your experience and input
Flexible work arrangements and a supportive culture
Opportunities to grow and contribute beyond the job description
Travel that's meaningful, not just miles on the clock
Increase your take home pay with Salary Packaging!
Access to over 100,000 courses for learning and development
If you're ready to bring your event expertise to a role that makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
Please be advised you will need to complete a National Police Check and Working with Children Check for this position if successful.
