Contract Manager - Arborist

About the role

The Tree Company Arboricultural Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and passionate Contract Manager to join our team at the Preston depot. This position will be an on-site role leading a major contract in the Whittlesea area, and act as the single point of contact for all arboricultural works. This person will manage day-to-day operations, contractor crews and quality control, ensuring work meets safety, environmental and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee and coordinate contractors, schedules and on‑site works 

- Act as primary client contact and stakeholder liaison 

- Perform quality control assessments and make operational decisions on trees and worksites 

- Provide clear, timely reporting and use Forestree (company system) accurately 

- Resolve operational issues, escalate when required, and ensure compliance with safety and contract requirements 

- Support business development and assist with quoting and up‑sell opportunities where appropriate

Essential skills & qualifications

- Certified to assess and make decisions on trees (preferably Cert 5 — state preference) 

- Proven contractor management and field operations experience in arboriculture/vegetation management 

- Strong computer literacy and demonstrable experience with Forestree or similar systems 

- Clear, concise communicator with stakeholder management and basic sales capability 

- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to be mobile across the contract area
